Digital library
An extensive range of digital resources is available to university members in the campus network and from outside via VPN:
- Over 80.000 e‑books, many for PDF download, can be found in our online catalogue or via the links in the „Online Resources“ section (scroll down)
- Online tutorials on the LinkedIn platform
- Databases
- Research in the university archive (final theses)
VPN access is currently restricted for security reasons: Mondays to fridays from 8:00 to 18:00

Order suggestions and interlibrary loan
- Order requests – suggest books that we do not have in stock for acquisition by e‑mail with the subject „Order request“ to ed.dneumg-gfh@kehtoilbib or via the „Acquisition request“ button in the menu bar of our OPACs/Online-Katalogs
- Interlibrary loan request – only for university members
Books that are too specialised for our collection, out-of-print media and journal articles can be ordered by university members via interlibrary loan from other library collections:
– via the interlibrary loan button in our online catalogue or via the library team
– costs for an interlibrary loan request: 1.50 euros upon receipt
– notification by e‑mail
– collection from the library or, on request in justified exceptional cases, dispatch by post - E‑book purchase – please suggest existing analogue books for purchase as e‑books – if an acquisition is possible (DMR – Digital Right Management, costs), this will be carried out

Important information in brief
University students are automatically registered as users of the library. Other university members are welcome to register when they visit the library in person. The campus card also serves as a library card. External interested parties can register on presentation of their identity card.

Loan Periods Service
All media can usually be borrowed. The standard loan period is 4 weeks, 6 renewals are possible (if there is no reservation on the medium). Fees are charged if the loan period is exceeded. These are currently suspended until further notice.
Email reminder service: You will receive an email reminder three days before the end of the loan period – you can renew online to avoid fees.
